You’ve probably never wondered what it’s like to spend the day in the shoes, or more correctly, paws, of a stray animal. Why would you? Humans have enough on their plate to worry about than to also have to empathize with strays. So if you’ve never thought about how homeless animals spend their days roaming the streets, hungry, scared, and cold, this picture taken of some of the strays in Dekweneh, will open your eyes to their misery and hardship. It is TOUGH out there!Between being shown nothing but cruelty by humans, dodging traffic and eating scraps from the trash, everything about their lives is heartbreaking.There are hundreds such strays in the streets of Lebanon, so multiply this by that number and you’ve got yourself an animal welfare crisis.As animal activists and rescuers, we urge you to treat our furry friends with kindness. Lend a helping hand whenever you can, donate food, offer temporary shelter, trap/spay/neuter and release, and even better adopt a lifetime partner!Remember that whatever good you put out into the world, it will be returned tenfold to you.
