In March 2022, after living in Lebanon with my two adopted dogs, Jane and Skye, I decided to move to France. Since my dogs were comfortable and had a warm bond with my parents, they remained with them. However, I felt the need to have a feline companion by my side.When I resided in Lebanon, Jane and Skye were my life companions. Jane, whom I initially wanted to name Scarlett, stayed in Lebanon with Skye while I settled in France. I always had the desire to adopt a pet with special needs, but the urgent situation prompted me to welcome and eventually adopt Jane and Skye into my home.As a special educator working with young people with disabilities for ten years, I have always been drawn to beings that require special care. Adopting a three-legged cat was a conscious choice guided by my belief that all animals deserve a chance, regardless of their differences.A few months after my arrival in France, I discovered Elias and Friends, an organization in collaboration with Adopt Don't Shop in Lebanon. Meeting Marie, a warm and dedicated person, I was introduced to cats ready for adoption in France. Among them, Scarlett caught my attention, both due to her name and her three legs.
