maya aka luna and a complex surgery: rescued back in 2021 (her story here) this beautiful cat didn't get any rest for medical interventions!when at her foster home, we noticed that maya doesn't walk properly, even though her previous boarding place confirmed that maya walks normally... we took an appointment for her in july 2023 for x-rays and check-up. while maya lives a normal life, it appeared that she was in pain, and her x-ray showed that there's a broken ligament requiring a complex and expensive surgery (900$). it wasn't but until december 2023 that maya got an appointment and underwent this surgery. the surgery consists of fixing the ligament in her back leg so the pain stops.here are the x-rays after the surgery was completed: maya who completed her process to travel to france, will have to rest for at least 2 months with a treatment.she went back to her foster home and will recover slowly.stay tuned for more news from maya and her next journey, hoping she will make to france, with the collaboration of elias and friends! please donate to help us continue our mission!
